Denis Shapovalov vs Alex Michelsen Prediction

Canada’s Denis Shapovalov continued his good form on Tuesday as he beat talented youngster Nishesh Basavareddy 7-5 6-2 to make it through to the round of 16.

The 25-year-old is playing some really good stuff in recent weeks and he now takes on another young talent from the States in Alex Michelsen.

Michelsen beat Yunchaokete Bu in the first round but had to come from behind after a slow start. After losing the opening set 6-2, Michelsen responded by winning the second and third on tie-breaks as the match really did go all the way.

The pair have never met before on the ATP Tour and that makes for a really interesting match here. Shapovalov is never easy to play against for the first time and we sense Michelsen may just struggle to adapt to his style. We prefer the Canadian in this one to get the win based on recent form and the left-hander can make it difficult for Michelsen here.
