Belina Bencic is coming off the back of a deep run at Indian Wells which was hugely impressive when considering some of the players whom she overcame. Qatar Open champion Amanda Anisimova, world number 13 Diana Shnaider and multiple Grand Slam winner Coco Gauff were all defeated by Bencic on her way to the quarter-finals where she finally fell to Australian Open champion Madison Keys.

Dayana Yastremska also took a big Indian Wells scalp of her own in Ons Jabeur, whom she beat in straight sets whilst dropping just four games in round two. But a crushing defeat the following round against Iga Swiatek ended the Ukrainian's chance of glory. In Bencic she faces one of the most consistently dangerous tour players on the circuit who has already lifted one title this year in Abu Dhabi.

Expect Bencic’s accuracy and powerful groundstrokes to help force the issue here, especially on the hard court, where the Swiss star is very good. It’s well worth backing former Olympic Gold medal winner Bencic to get the better of Yastremska in this one.
