Since losing to Novak Djokovic at the Australian Open, Carlos Alcaraz has lifted the ATP Rotterdam title, but suffered a surprise three-set defeat at the hands of Jack Draper in the semi-finals of Indian Wells. When taking into account the mentality of Alcaraz, not to mention his overwhelming quality, it would be no surprise to see him make it all the way in Miami.

David Goffin represents the first obstacle for the Spaniard. A long-time veteran on the ATP circuit, Goffin won’t be phased by Alcaraz and will prove a tough nut to crack when factoring in his defence and ability to sustain rallies. However, Alcaraz is relentless and is likely to wear Goffin down, using his speed across the court to try and dominate.

Any outcome here other than victory for multiple Grand Slam champion Alcaraz would be a real surprise and it’s well worth backing him to get the jon done over Goffin in just two sets.
