Live sport returns tonight!

Sport has not exactly been at the forefront of everybody’s minds during this coronavirus pandemic with health the primary concern of many of us. That said, the importance of sport cannot be underestimated and the lack of live events has left a hole in many lives. Belarus and Nicaragua have continued playing football which has filled the gap to a marginal degree….heck, we’ve even been covering those leagues and previewing all their matches to keep you informed and entertained!

There has been very little other action however in recent weeks which is why the return to live action with the PDC Home Tour starting this evening is being welcomed by so many. There have been a couple of high-profile withdrawals but world champion Peter Wright kicks the tournament off and has to be favoured to go far.

For the next 32 nights, we will have six darts matches to feast upon and there no doubt will be plenty of opportunities for the punters. Not only has the lack of action affected the fans, but the bookies have also suffered. The Virtual Grand National was well received by both bookies and punters, raising plenty of money for the NHS, while eSports has emerged as another viable option to bet on. Alternatively, punters have had to play online poker and casinos for their fix. That has encouraged companies to be creative in their marketing and you can find promotions here that are currently being offered.

With so much of the sporting calendar being postponed or cancelled, we all eagerly await more positive news. You can check out the updates and developments on the impact of coronavirus on all the major sports here with the articles being updated on a regular basis. We’ll keep you informed with all the latest news and all being well, we will have plenty more sport to feast on alongside the darts in the weeks to come!
