It’s top meets bottom here as Michael van Gerwen aims to retain his position at the top of the pile while Gary Anderson is floundering in last place with the Scotsman having lost in the quarter-final stage in six of the last seven nights. Van Gerwen was uncharacteristically sloppy in his loss to James Wade last week but he bounced back in superb fashion over the weekend, winning one of the Players Championship events with some impressive averages en-route.
