WHAT IS THE CURRENT LEAGUE TABLE?
Below is the current Premier League Darts league table heading into Night 8:
NIGHT 8 PREDICTION
Michael van Gerwen’s winning streak was ended last week in Nottingham as, after winning the previous three nights of Premier League action, the Dutchman came unstuck against a clinical Chris Dobey in the semi-final. It was Gerwyn Price who ultimately went all the way though, and with Van Gerwen and Price on opposite sides of the draw in Newcastle, that could well be the final this time around. The pair actually met in a Players Championship event on Sunday, with Price the victor on that occasion, but Van Gerwen went all the way in Saturday’s event to clinch his first title of 2023. MVG’s confidence will be high then, and he looks set to reassert his Premier League dominance in Newcastle.
PREDICTED NIGHT WINNER: MICHAEL VAN GERWEN
