It is difficult to look past Gary Anderson here. The Flying Scotsman – a two-time world champion – has a vastly superior record at Alexandra Palace compared to Ian White – and usually improves as the tournament progresses. He had something of a shaky start against Adrian Lewis but found his A-game after the first set and bulldozed his way past this opponent, and that spells bad news for Ian White here. All too often, White fails to bring his floor game to the big stage and there is little to suggest that will change here, with Anderson tipped to put his name in the hat for the fourth round.
