Ryan Meikle was a comfortable first-round winner over Fabian Schmutzler on Wednesday but he was never really pushed by the German and he will have to raise his game significantly to trouble former world champion Peter Wright here. You have to go all the way back to 2012 to find the last time Snakebite failed to go beyond the first round at the World Championship and, as one of the favourites to go all the way again this year, it would be no surprise to see Wright record a straight-sets victory to kick off his campaign.
