Alan Soutar enjoyed a winning PDC World Championship debut on Sunday with a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Diogo Portela and he now goes up against seasoned campaigner Mensur Suljovic, who in truth has struggled for form in the run-up to Ally Pally. The Austrian may have reached the final of the World Cup of Darts and the quarters of the European Championship this year, but he has also thrown in plenty of sub-par displays and it’s fair to say he is not at the top of his game right now. For a man of his talent he has a poor record in this tournament but he may just about have enough to claim the win here.
