THE PREDICTION

Jason Lowe was barely troubled by Daniel Larsson in his first-round match on Tuesday as he ran out a comfortable 3-0 winner but he can expect a much tougher challenge against world number seven Jose de Sousa. The Special One has yet to show his best darts at Alexandra Palace having never gone beyond the third round but he is more than capable of going deep this year. With three Pro Tour wins to his name in 2021, as well as several good runs in TV tournaments, the former Grand Slam of Darts champion can be fancied to progress here.
