This is undoubtedly one of the biggest ties in the early stages of the PDC World Darts Championship as two double world champions do battle in the second round, with the pair having twice met in the final in previous years. It’s fair to say that neither are playing as well as they did when they reigned supreme over the darting world but this nevertheless promises to be an enthralling contest. Anderson has struggled with motivation in recent years but is talking a different game at the moment and looks hungry to have a deep run at Ally Pally. Lewis showed flashes of his best in his first-round win over Matt Campbell but those glimpses of talent are few and far between these days so Anderson is fancied to defeat his old rival here.
