Gary Anderson produced some of the old magic to come from 3-0 behind to beat Ian White 4-3 in the third round but he can’t keep going to the well and Rob Cross is more than capable of punishing him here. Cross came through a classic himself when he held off Daryl Gurney on Tuesday and he has generally been playing to a higher standard than Anderson at Ally Pally this year. Having already taken out a multiple world champion in the form of Raymond van Barneveld, Cross looks primed to book his spot in the quarter-finals unless Anderson can find an extra gear from somewhere.
