Former BDO world champion Scott Mitchell makes his first appearance at the PDC World Darts Championship at the first time of asking after he won his tour card back in January and he certainly has the game to make a decent run at Ally Pally. Dutchman Chris Landman will likewise be making his debut at the tournament after he came through the West Europe Qualifier and he has nothing to lose here as the underdog. He is no stranger to the big stage having made the quarter-final of the BDO World Championship in 2020, but this is a significant step-up and the class of Mitchell should tell in the end.
