Fabian Schmutzler will become the second youngest player to ever grace the World Championship stage when he steps onto the oche to face Ryan Meikle. The 16-year-old earned his spot through his performances on the PDC European Development Tour and this will be an invaluable experience for him with a bright future predicted for the German. Meikle, meanwhile, will be stepping up for the third time at Ally Pally and, having fallen at the first hurdle on both previous occasions, will see this as an excellent opportunity to get a World Championship win under his belt.
