THE PREDICTION
Jamie Hughes is one of those players who, given his talent, really should be higher up the rankings than he currently is but inconsistency is still present in his game as he makes his third appearance at the PDC World Darts Championship. He will need to be on his toes against Australian qualifier Raymond Smith – an experienced campaigner on the DPA circuit who has recorded wins against top PDC pros in the past. Hughes hasn’t played an awful lot of darts over the last six months so his current form is not clear, but given that he has often averaged above 100 in his career, you would have to give ‘Wozza’ the edge here.
