Chris Dobey has not had a good season so far, but he has some very good recent performances at the PDC World Championship to draw upon and we might well see another good run from Hollywood this year at Alexandra Palace. If Dobey is to reach the last 16 for the third time in a row, he must first overcome former BDO World Championship finalist Jeff Smith who defeated Keane Barry in the opening round on Tuesday night. Make no mistake about it, this is a tough tie for the seeded player as Smith is a very accomplished performer who will capitlise if his opponent is below par. One feels that playing at the World Championship will again inspire Dobey to up his game though and he is tipped to edge out Smith in a hard-fought contest.
