Daniil Medvedev vs Laslo Djere prediction

Daniil Medvedev is no lover of the clay swing but needs a solid spell over the coming months to fire his way back into the top ten. 

The former US Open champion reached the last eight at the Caja Magica last year and begins his latest bid against Laslo Djere.

The Serb eased past veteran Fabio Fognini 6-2 6-3 but is unlikely to have the weapons to trouble Medvedev.

The Russian leads the head-to-head 2-1 and although it is currently 1-1 on clay, Djere’s win was via Medvedev’s retirement in Budapest eight years ago. 

Medvedev has improved significantly on clay in recent years and he should ease through in this one.
