Daniel Marcos: Unbeaten Peruvian looks to extend 17-fight run

Daniel Marcos (16-0 with one no contest) is looking to extend his unbeaten run and the Peruvian is handed another step in quality here. After winning through Dana White’s Contender Series in September 2022, Marcos has won three fights and had one no contest during this time in the promotion. He comes off a unanimous decision win over John Castaneda in June and the 31-year-old will be eager to maintain this phenomenal streak.

Adrian Yanez: Four-time Performance of the Night star looking to play spoiler

Adrian Yanez (17-5) is coming off a much-needed TKO win over Vinicius Salvador last time out in May as that came off the back of successive TKO losses. Those defeats came at the hands of quality opponents Rob Font and Jonathan Martinez but those unquestionably dented his confidence. His TKO win last time out lifted his spirits and he will now look to build some momentum in bantamweight division.

Daniel Marcos vs Adrian Yanez Prediction

It is always difficult to oppose an unbeaten fighter like Daniel Marcos and the Peruvian is understandably favourite coming into this bout with Adrian Yanez.

He has yet to find his level and even since joining the UFC, he has looked pretty good. He will have seen weaknesses in Yanez’s recent fights and that will only fill him with confidence.

Yanez is an experienced campaigner and is a capable fighter. He is exciting to watch and his last four fights have ended in knockout one way or another.

This will be an interesting fight to see where both fighters are in their careers right now but we fear for Yanez. Those two TKOs will harm him against an opponent like Marcos and we expect the Peruvian to continue this impressive streak.

Prediction: Daniel Marcos to win
