Daniel Altmaier vs Nicolas Jarry prediction
Daniel Altmaier’s solid form in Monte Carlo and Munich will have him feeling confident against Nicolas Jarry in Madrid.
The German came through qualifying in The Principality with his run ended in the round of 16 by eventual winner Carlos Alcaraz.
The 26-year-old then reached the same stage in Munich and has also looked sharp in qualifying in the Spanish capital.
It’s been a different story for Jarry who has developed a habit of falling at the first hurdle with just one win in his last nine.
The form book clearly points to Altmaier while their only prior meeting was at a lower level in the final of Luedenscheid in 2021 with the German prevailing on home turf.
It looks likely there will be more disappointment for Jarry who can’t find form and has lost a number of close matches during a tough period.
