Daniel Altmaier vs Gabriel Diallo Prediction

With neither nation being able to count on their top-ranked player – Alexander Zverev and Felix Auger-Aliassime – Germany and Canada need their next men up to step forward.

Daniel Altmaier and Gabriel Diallo are the two likely to be selected to face each other although it could very well be Milos Raonic playing for Canada potentially given his outstanding serve on this surface.

Diallo has been in good form in the back end of the season on the ATP Tour and he will be hoping to carry that into this match.

The pair have met once before on the Challenger Tour and Altmaier won that as Diallo was forced to retire. It is Diallo who has made the greater strides in recent months however and will be the more confident of the two players.

This is a crunch match in this tie and Canada will go all out in the singles as they know just how strong the German doubles pairing is. We like Diallo’s chance is he is selected to beat Altmaier.
