Daniel Altmaier vs Chun-Hsin Tseng prediction

Daniel Altmaier enjoyed a brilliant run at the Monte-Carlo Masters. The German made his way through qualifying and then sprung the earliest surprise of the tournament by taking down Felix Auger-Aliassime in straight sets.

He then edged past veteran Richard Gasquet to make it four successive wins and faced Carlos Alcaraz in the round of 16 stage. The eventual winner of the event won 6-3 6-1, but this was still such an encouraging event for Altmaier who must take a lot of confidence from this heading into Munich.

Chun-Hsin Tseng will be his opponent in the first-round, having made his way through qualifying. He suffered two early losses in his two previous clay court tournaments, with a loss at the Bucharest Open and then failing to make it out of qualifying for Monte-Carlo after a defeat to Mariano Navone.

Altmaier is ranked the higher of the two and is playing well after his showing in Monte-Carlo. We’re backing him to get through.
