Daniel Altmaier is enjoying a fantastic week in Rotterdam as the German has come through four rounds, including qualifying, to make it this far.

He is coming off his best win of the week as he upset seventh-seed Arthur Fils in the round on 16 on Thursday. It took three sets but Altmaier held his nerve to win 6-4 3-6 7-5.

He now faces the in-form Australian Alex de Minaur who has looked impressive this week. The 25-year-old beat Jakub Mensik on Thursday 6-4 6-4 and his all-round game was really strong. He won 83% and 87% on first and second serve respectively and did not concede a single break point.

De Minaur will fancy his chances of going all the way this week and it is hard to back against him doing that. Altmaier has enjoyed a great week but this is where it likely ends. Expect De Minaur to win and likely in straight sets.
