Dan Ige vs Sean Woodson Prediction
Dan Ige has had a tough run in recent fights as he has lost three of his last four but he has unquestionably fought some of the best in the featherweight division during that time. He lost unanimous decisions against Bryce Mitchell, Diego Lopes and Lerone Murphy with a sole knockout win over Andre Fili sandwiched in between those. He has just fallen short against those elite fighters but the quality of opponent gives his resume positive context.
He comes up against Sean Woodson who is 13-1-1 but has fought anywhere near the same kind of quality during his career. His only loss came to Julian Erosa in July 2020 by submission but otherwise he has not suffered any other setbacks in his MMA career. He is an impressive stand-up fighter but does not possess huge power and has seen eight of his 13 wins come on the scorecards.
He will be hoping for another win here but that will not be easy against Ige who will be desperate to bounce back here. We like Ige as the underdog here and think that offers decent value but our play is on this fight going the distance. Both fighters are capable of getting the stoppage but we think this one goes to the scorecards.
Prediction: Fight to go the distance
