Damon Heta vs Connor Scutt Prediction
Across the opening five days of play at the PDC World Darts Championship, only Callan Rydz managed an average higher than that of Connor Scutt, who dropped just one leg in his 3-0 victory over Ben Robb. Scutt averaged 101.92, more than the likes of Luke Humphries and Gerwyn Price across their respective games.
A similar level of performance here would cause Damon Heta serious problems. The Australian reached the fourth-round last year and whilst he has enjoyed a good year on tour, he faces an opponent in Scutt who has beaten him before, albeit in a non-televised competition and ‘The Sniper’ should benefit from having already significantly impressed this week on the Ally Pally stage.
It would be no surprise at all to see this encounter go right to the wire with Scutt more than capable of knocking off the higher ranked player. With that in mind, back the game to be decided in five sets.
