Damir Dzumhur vs Sebastian Baez Prediction

Damir Dzumhur has enjoyed a better week in Santiago compared to Buenos Aires and Rio in the last fortnight and he will take heart from his two wins in the Chilean capital.

After beating Corentin Moutet on Tuesday, he came through a three-set battle with Mariano Navone in the round of 16 to earn this clash with Sebastian Baez.

A runner-up in 2022 and then the champion last year of this tournament, Sebastian Baez has a proud record at the Chile Open and he will be keen to maintain his title. Just like he did in Rio last week, he will be desperate to win back-to-back titles in Chile also and he will fancy his chances of doing just that.

He came through a tough match against compatriot Francisco Comesana in the round of 16 edging it 6-3 5-7 7-6 but the gentle schedule for the third seed should ensure he is suitably fresh enough after a busy week last week.

Baez is playing some really good stuff right now and he clearly enjoys this part of the ATP Tour. Barring fatigue, he should get the win here and move into the semis once again.
