Damir Dzumhur vs Pedro Martinez prediction

Damir Dzumhur needed three sets to defeat Filip Cristian Jianu and advance through to the next round. The Bosnian won just a third of his break points but still won 6-4 3-6 6-3 in just over two hours and 30 minutes.

Pedro Martinez also dropped a set on his way to victory over veteran Stan Wawrinka, recovering to win 4-6 7-5 6-2. The Spanish second seed put a halt to a five-match losing streak on the tour and will aim for a place in the semi-finals.

Martinez leads the head-to-head 1-0, with the two having played earlier on in the year at the Argentina Open. The Spaniard recovered from an awful start to win a close match 0-6 6-2 7-6. This could be a tight match, with Dzumhur in slightly better form heading into it after making the final and semi-final of two recent Challenger events. 

Despite Martinez being the higher ranked of the two, we predict Dzumhur will find a way to get through in three sets.
