PAKISTAN FORM: FAILURE TO WIN LIKELY TO SPELL END OF THEIR TOURNAMENT
Pakistan were second-best against India and fell to defeat after beating Sri Lanka in their opening match. Batting first and scoring 105/8, Pakistan bowlers didn’t have enough runs to work with and India chased their target down with six wickets to spare. With only two group games left, Pakistan will need to win at least one to give themselves any chance of a place in the last four.
AUSTRALIA FORM: SEMI-FINAL QUALIFICATION ALL BUT CERTAIN WITH VICTORY
Australia continue to set the standard at ICC major tournaments and are not only top of their group at this Women’s T20 World Cup, but also boast the highest net-run-rate of any side. Victory over Sri Lanka was complemented by a crushing win over New Zealand, leaving them almost in the semi-finals already.
PAKISTAN BETTING ANALYSIS
With Fatima Sana having returned home following the sad death of her father, Pakistan's bowling attack has been weakened as Sana had been their most consistent performer. Sadia Iqbal took three wickets against Sri Lanka earlier in the competition and a player of her quality will need to step up again in this next match. With that in mind, back Iqbal to take another 2+ wickets here.
AUSTRALIA BETTING ANALYSIS
Australia’s top order took apart New Zealand last time out, with opener Beth Mooney in particular demonstrating both her quality and control. She struck 40 from 32 balls, reading conditions and playing smart cricket. The experienced Aussie is capable of scoring a high volume of runs in any conditions and is well worth backing to record 30+ runs here via the ‘Batter Milestones’ market.
PAKISTAN VS AUSTRALIA EXPERT PREDICTION
Although some of the pitches in the UAE have led to closer games than anticipated at times between overwhelming favourites and underdog teams, that isn’t expected to be the case here. Australia are a significantly better side in all departments than Pakistan are and really should dominate this contest, winning comfortably in the end to all but guarantee their semi-final place.
