INDIA FORM: VICTORY THE ONLY GOAL FOR TROPHY-STARVED GIANTS

The closest India have gotten to ICC T20 World Cup glory was back in 2020 when they lost the final against Australia in Melbourne. Sick of falling short no doubt, now is the time for India to take that last step and lift their first major ICC trophy. They have the players to make it happen with both bat and ball, so now it’s about putting it all together.

NEW ZEALAND FORM: LAST CHANCE POTENTIALLY FOR AGEING STARS

New Zealand are heading rapidly into a transitional period with their key players across many years starting to reach the latter stages of their careers. For the likes of Sophie Devine and Suzie Bates for example, they won’t have many more chances to win a major ICC tournament.

INDIA BETTING ANALYSIS

India batter Smriti Mandhana, who captains reigning WPL champions Royal Challengers Bangalore is a superstar capable of accumulating a vast number of runs at a fast rate. She’ll have a big role to play if India are to be successful and as a batter is well suited to playing in conditions expected in the UAE. Consider utilising the ‘Batter Milestones’ market and back Mandhana to score 30+ runs here.

NEW ZEALAND BETTING ANALYSIS

The shortest form of the international game fits Sophie Devine’s game to a tee. She is such a destructive player capable of winning a game on her own if she gets herself settled at the crease. One thing Devine will always try to do is clear the boundary rope and you could argue that there is no more powerful hitter in the tournament when on song. Therefore, backing her to gain over 0.5 match sixes looks a smart play.

INDIA VS NEW ZEALAND EXPERT PREDICTION

India are excellently placed to go all the way in this tournament and whilst New Zealand’s powers are perhaps waning, India’s are only growing. The depth within their squad is impressive to say the least and the top order batting looks formidable. Provided the bowlers execute their skills well and keep the likes of Devine quiet, then India are expected to pick up the win.
