BANGLADESH FORM: VICTORY CRUCIAL IF TIGERS ARE TO REACH LAST FOUR

Bangladesh know that a win in this group match would move them level on points with the Proteas and leave them still well in the mix of semi-final qualification with a game left to play. However, defeat would eliminate the Tigers from the tournament as they would be unable to overtake two of South Africa, England or West Indies moving forward.

SOUTH AFRICA FORM: IMPRESSIVE RESPONSE TO ENGLAND DEFEAT

South Africa kept their semi-final charge firmly alive with their mauling of Scotland by 80 runs. The large margin of victory helped provided a huge boost to their Proteas’ net-run-rate, which could yet prove important down the stretch with multiple nations bounced together in Group B and only two qualification places up for grabs.

BANGLADESH BETTING ANALYSIS

Putting up a high volume of runs at the top of the order has proven extremely difficult for Bangladesh in recent matches and it would be no surprise if that was to continue here. Against a strong South African bowling unit, a potentially shrewd move for bettors would be backing Bangladesh’s two openers to put on under 10.5 runs for the first wicket.

SOUTH AFRICA BETTING ANALYSIS

Bowler Nonkululeko Mlaba’s three wickets last time out against Scotland extended her overall wickets haul to eight across the tournament. Two of South Africa’s three group games so far have seen Mlaba finish as the Proteas’ top bowler and when taking into account her confidence and form that she is currently in, Mlaba should be backed to finish as South Africa’s top bowler in this latest contest.

BANGLADESH VS SOUTH AFRICA EXPERT PREDICTION

South Africa are making a habit of overpowering opponents with the bat and it would be no surprise to see them repeat that feat here. The Proteas top order are expected to quickly get on top of their opponents in the powerplay and regardless of whether they are setting or chasing a target, South Africa are well worth backing to get the job done here.
