Travel Distances 2024/25 – National League North

Here at TSZ we have put together a list of all the travel distances for the 2024/25 National League North season.

The distances have been determined by using the shortest route by road on Google Maps at the time of writing. The mileage shown is for the round-trip from a team's home stadium to the opponent's home stadium, and back again, for all away games in the league campaign. This is strictly a 'by road' analysis, other means of transport (e.g. train) are not considered.

TOTAL DISTANCES

  • Needham Market will clock up the most miles in the 2024/25 National League North campaign, with the Suffolk-based club the only side in the division who will travel over 8,000 miles for away games.
  • Buxton, meanwhile, have the lowest average away day of all 24 teams.

WHAT IS THE LONGEST AWAY TRIP IN THE NATIONAL LEAGUE NORTH?

  • The longest trip in the National League North is the 554-mile round trip between Needham Market and South Shields.
  • Needham Market represent the longest league trip for over half of their opponents in the 2024/25 National League North season.

WHAT IS THE SHORTEST AWAY TRIP IN THE NATIONAL LEAGUE NORTH?

  • The 14 miles separating Marine and Southport (28-mile round trip) is the least arduous journey in the division.
  • No such luck for Scarborough though, with their shortest journey being the 136 mile round trip to Darlington.
