The Spirit were on the losing side of the first capital city match-up of the 2024 men’s Hundred between themselves and Oval Invincibles. After keeping their opponents in check, they allowed Sam Curran to bludgeon a half-century which took the Invincibles up to an above-par-score. Struggling on a pitch with extra bounce, the Spirit batters wilted and were ultimately cleaned up by Curran.

The bowling attack of the Trent Rockets looks strong on paper and a player of Rashid Khan’s quality will want to make up for a sub-par last outing, which saw him fail to take a wicket from 20 balls bowled vs Welsh Fire. A player of his undoubted class won’t be kept quiet for very long though and his mystery spin always stands a good chance of success. Therefore, back Rashid to record 2+ wickets on this occasion.

London Spirit’s Michael Pepper got off to a good start at Lord’s against Oval Invincibles but couldn’t convert it into a substantial score.
