After squeezing through into the playoff eliminator last season, the Montreal Tigers have begun the defence of their title this year with three successive victories to begin the campaign before they then had to share a no result point with the Toronto Nationals the other day due to the weather.

VANCOUVER KNIGHTS FORM: STRUGGLING KNIGHTS
The Vancouver Knights automatically qualified for the semi-final off the 2023 Global T20 Canada in second place but they have since endured a really difficult run of form and sit rock-bottom in the table looking likely to take the wooden spoon. The weather produced a no result against Surrey Jaguars the other day to give the Knights their first point of the season.

MONTREAL TIGERS BETTING ANALYSIS
The impressive dominance of the Montreal Tigers is not necessarily underpinned by any outrageously consistent batting but a batting lineup that will always pretty much produce one player to have a day out. The best bet for this time would be to back Tim Seifert against a poor Vancouver side after the Kiwi’s excellent recent Lanka Premier League season.
With the ball, the Tigers have not necessarily benefitted too much from the slower spin friendly conditions because their opening seamer, Azmatullah Omarzai, has been excellent and remains the player who will likely return their best bowling figures.
VANCOUVER KNIGHTS BETTING ANALYSIS
The Vancouver Knights have a top score of just 149 in the 2024 Global T20 Canada. However, it is the middle order of Richie Berrington and Asif Ali that should be their best batters after they both hit unbeaten 30+ scores and Ali is the likeliest to be their top batter.
In the bowling department, Nepalese spinner Sandeep Lamichhane is expected to be their best bowler once again given the conditions of the pitch, despite his generally poor form that he also showed throughout the ICC T20 World Cup.

The Montreal Tigers are emphatically and comfortably the best team in the tournament as they seek to make it back-to-back Global T20 Canada titles. Despite the fact the Vancouver Knights finally got themselves on the board with a no result the other day, they remain really weak. A comfortable Tigers victory is to be expected at the TD Cricket Arena.
