BRAMPTON WOLVES FORM: THE GOOD AND THE BAD
The Brampton Wolves began their 2024 Global T20 Canada campaign with an impressive 59-run defeat of the Surrey Jaguars last week in which they posted a total of 198-6 in their 20 overs. That, though, was then followed up by a humbling loss to the Toronto Nationals at the weekend in which they were bowled out for just 110 and conceded their score in just 13.2 overs in what was a mauling of the Wolves.

MONTREAL TIGERS FORM: CONTINUING THEIR FORM
After winning their final league game to get into the playoffs and then winning all three playoff matches to win the 2023 Global T20 Canada, the Montreal Tigers have started the 2024 season in excellent form. They started by easing past Bangla Tigers Mississauga by 33 runs after posting 189-6 in their 20 overs before then edging a tighter contest against the Vancouver Knights in which they won by only ten runs.

BRAMPTON WOLVES BETTING ANALYSIS
The Brampton Wolves, as was shown in being dismissed for just 110 against the Toronto Nationals, have something of a fragile top order. However, even at his age now and sort of retired from international cricket, their captain, Dave Warner, remains their best bet to score runs to back him to come good with their top score would seem a sensible bet.
With the ball, the Wolves also lack much potency. However, what could be a good shout for this is to back the Netherlands’ right-arm off break bowler, Aryan Dutt, to take two or more wickets on what is a used pitch and up against a Tigers line-up that will try and surely take risks against him.
MONTREAL TIGERS BETTING ANALYSIS
The Montreal Tigers have used the tactic of playing a pinch hitter in Ashton Agar right at the top of the order after an impressive T20 Blast run of form for the Northamptonshire Steelbacks. However, the main in-form man remains New Zealand’s Tim Seifert, who enjoyed a strong Lanka Premier League campaign for the Galle Marvels. Backing Seifert to be their best bat looks a good bet for pretty much all of their matches.
In the bowling department, the Tigers will look to be tight and that was the case in their last game when opening bowler and Afghanistan all-rounder Azmatullah Omarzai took 1-14 off four overs. He is not expected to go for many runs again and a wicket or two more will likely see him record the Tigers’ best bowling figures in the match.
BRAMPTON WOLVES VS MONTREAL TIGERS EXPERT PREDICTION
This does appear to be a slightly one-sided affair. Whilst these two did meet in the first eliminator in 2023, they have trended in very different directions ever since and it is now a contest between one of the weakest and one of the strongest teams, rather than one between two evenly matched sides. As a result, it would seem like a reasonable bet to suggest the Montreal Tigers should once again come out on top.
