ENGLAND BETTING ANALYSIS

The batters to take the acclaim last time out for England were Phil Salt and Jonny Bairstow. Opener Salt batted through their chase against West Indies, scoring 80 not out, whilst Bairstow racked up an unbeaten 48 from 26 balls. For Salt especially, it was a knock of maturity and arguably a coming-of-age innings. Consider backing him to follow this with a score of over 28.5 match runs. The same is worth investing in for Jos Buttler though, who only hit 25 vs the Windies, but a player of his quality should bounce back strongly.

From a bowling perspective, while no England player gained 2+ wicket, Jofra Archer showed his elite class, picking up the crucial wicket of Nicholas Pooran. It would be no surprise if Archer was to step up another gear against the Proteas and add further wickets to his tally, so with that in mind, back him via the ‘Bowler Milestones’ market to gain 2+ wickets.

SOUTH AFRICA BETTING ANALYSIS

South Africa boast numerous batters capable of accumulating a high volume of runs, which is important to note from a betting point of view. Quinton de Kock looked ominous against United States, recording 74 from 40 balls and is well-known for performing in major tournament for his country. Consider backing him to accrue 20+ runs vs England with a perhaps a smaller stake on him to top score for the Proteas.

It would also be remiss not to mention Heinrich Klaasen and his notorious six-hitting ability. He racked up another three maximums vs USA and clearing the rope is a specialty of his. The ‘Player to Score Most Match 6s’ market is one for bettors to invest in Klaasen, who can also be backed to score over 0.5 match sixes at shorter odds.

ENGLAND VS SOUTH AFRICA EXPERT PREDICTION

This has the potential to be one of the games of the tournament between two nations eying up the trophy and both are in excellent form. The outcome is hard to call with a case to be made for either team. Runs shouldn’t be a factor for both England and South Africa, so once again the bowling attacks will be absolutely crucial.

Also vital will be Heinrich Klaasen’s power. He has the ability to swing this game in the Proteas favour, particularly when it comes to clearing those ropes on a consistent basis. The expectation is that he will continue to do that here, even against a bowling unit of England’s ability.

ENGLAND VS SOUTH AFRICA TOP TIP: HEINRICH KLAASEN TO SCORE OVER 0.5 MATCH SIXES
