SCOTLAND FORM: HOSTS AGAIN UNABLE TO CONTAIN AUSSIES

Scotland’s bowlers were always going to struggle again with the small boundaries at the Grange and despite taking two wickets in the powerplay, they could not stop Josh Inglis, who struck a wonderful hundred and parachuted the tourists to 196 after their 20 overs, leaving the Scots needing 197 to win. In the end, they fell 7 runs short.

AUSTRALIA FORM: INGLIS CENTURY COMPLEMENTED BY TEAM BOWLING EFFORT

Whilst Josh Inglis will claim the headlines for his brilliant 103, the bowling attack also warrants praise for an excellent collective performance. All six bowlers utilised claimed at least one wicket as they bowled out the Scots for just 126.

SCOTLAND BETTING ANALYSIS

Only two Scotland players recorded double figure scores across the second T20i, George Munsey and Brandon McMullen. The former once again cleared the boundary rope over 0.5 times, earning a nice profit for those bettors who invested in Munsey’s six-hitting ability. Making the same play via the ‘Batter Match Sixes’ market should be explored once again, whilst McMullen has now scored 78 runs across the series and is worth backing to hit 20+ runs this time round.

AUSTRALIA BETTING ANALYSIS

Although Travis Head was dismissed first ball on Friday, the memory of his 80 from 25 balls in the first T20i is no doubt still fresh in the memory of bettors. A player of his class and brute force may well bounce back strongly less than 24 hours later and backing Head to finish as Australia’s top batter in the third T20i deserves serious consideration from those wanting to capitalise on him opening the batting in the powerplay.

SCOTLAND VS AUSTRALIA EXPERT PREDICTION

Australia will surely wrap things up here with another victory, sending them off to England in style, but will want to ensure they put on another clinical showing with bat and ball. Spin-bowler Adam Zampa could therefore play a big role. With the short boundaries, Scotland may look to target him and this suits Zampa down to the ground. One of the best in the world when it comes to the T20 format, expect Zampa to find himself in among the wickets on Saturday.
