- After the second T20i was reduced to an eight over-a-side contest, India successfully chased down a target of 91 with four balls remaining to level the series with captain Rohit Sharma leading from the front.
- Rohit blasted 46 not out from just 20 balls with four 4s and four 6s to lead her side home, whilst finisher Dinesh Karthik smashed 10 from his two balls faced.
AUSTRALIA
- Australia were always going to be up against it when the match was significantly reduced and despite gaining a good score of 90/5 batting first, it wasn’t enough with their opponents having ten wickets to work with proving important.
- Matthew Wade remains in excellent touch this series, scoring 43 not out and he helped Australia to such a competitive total, whilst the spin of Adam Zampa saw him pick up three wickets.
THE PREDICTION
This series is finely poised heading into match three and another high-scoring encounter is expected when taking into account the strength-in-depth of both nations from a batting point of view. India are yet to really shackle Australia with the ball, but should improve on that front in Hyderabad. Provided the quicker bowlers can better compliment the spin of Axar Patel, India should be able to overcome the tourists and take the series 2-1
