THE TEAM NEWS

BANGLADESH

  • Bangladesh produced a much better display in their second ODI against Afghanistan as they earned the win in the series and will now look to complete the whitewash after running out 88-run victors in game two.
  • Liton Das highlighted his qualities once again with a fabulous knock of 136 and backed up by Mushfiqur Rahim’s 86, that pair helped their side to a total of 306/4 before the bowling unit skittled their opponents.

AFGHANISTAN

  • Afghanistan could not live with Bangladesh in the second game of their ODI series as their bowling unit struggled to produce the goods, carrying on where they left off in game one and the pressure is on to salvage anything from the series.
  • Having started so well with the ball in game one, the Afghans crumbled as they allowed the Tigers to snatch a win and they failed to put that behind them as they allowed their opponents to post a huge score.

THE PREDICTION

Bangladesh showed their capabilities in their second ODI clash with Afghanistan as they claimed a comfortable success and they will look to wrap the series up with a third straight win. The Tigers were superb with the bat and posted a daunting total, something the Afghans never looked capable of chasing down. After such an impressive performance, Bangladesh should have the bit between their teeth and they can secure a series whitewash by claiming a win in the final game.
