THE LOWDOWN
SUNRISERS HYDERABAD
- Sunrisers Hyderabad’s big-money marquee auction signing finally paid off against Kolkata Knight Riders this past Friday, Harry Brook putting them to the sword and leading SRH to an important win.
- The English overseas batter blasted an unbeaten 100 opening the batting for the first time, helping Aiden Markram’s side to a big score of 228/4 which was too steep an ask for KKR, with SRH coming out on top by 23 runs.
MUMBAI INDIANS
- Mumbai Indians’ most recent victory also came at the expense of Kolkata Knight Riders, Rohit Sharma’s men defeating them by five wickets after successfully chasing down 186 with 2.2 overs remaining.
- Arjun Tendulkar made his debut for the franchise where his father holds legendary status, although he didn’t pick up a wicket across his two overs bowled, in-fact he was the only Mumbai bowler of the six utilised not to pick up a wicket.
THE PREDICTION
Mumbai Indians have been renowned over the years for starting poorly before embarking on a significant winning run over the course of the group stage. With two wins from two now under their belts following those opening two losses, things look ominous for their opponents going forward. Whilst the SRH batters fired on all cylinders last time out, not least Harry Brook, it would be a big ask for them to repeat that feat here. The visitors are starting to hit their straps and are worth backing to make it three wins in a row.
