- Delhi Capitals fell to a surprising defeat last time out at the hands of Kolkata Knight Riders, only their third loss of this year’s IPL and will be looking to bounce back here with them still well placed in the table.
- Opener Prithvi Shaw missed the match against KKR due to injury but is expected to return in time to face Mumbai, however, Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis is less likely to feature.

Mumbai Indians have given themselves a platform to build upon following their win over Punjab Kings. However, they still have question marks regarding their top order with Suryakumar Yadav dismissed for 0 in that game. Whilst they may have successfully chased down their total of 136, their batters face an even tougher challenge here against arguably the best bowling attack in the tournament. Delhi Capitals batters will be confident of restricting Mumbai to relatively small score and the addition of Prithvi Shaw should significantly improve their batting line-up when taking into account his form across the competition so far. Wait for the teams to be revealed before making any moves, but providing Shaw features for Delhi Capitals then it is them who should come through with victory in this one.
