- Following their first loss of this year’s Big Bash League, Perth Scorchers would have been desperate to get back into the swing of things in their clash with Melbourne Stars but have had to wait a little longer.

Melbourne Stars and Perth Scorchers will return to action after their game earlier in the week was postponed because of a positive test in the Stars’ camp. That situation has since escalated and significantly but it will not stop this game going ahead. The Stars will see this as a free shot to cause an upset with many of their key players seemingly set to miss out but with the Scorchers arriving with just one loss from their seven games so far with that coming last time out, they will be desperate to put that defeat behind them and bounce back with a win in this one. They too will be missing a couple of key members of their squad after Mitch Marsh and Josh Inglis were named in the Australian Test squad but they should still have enough talent to get the job done here.
