THE PREDICTION

This clash between West Indies and Papua New Guinea is arguably the biggest mismatch in the Plate League of the four quarter-finals set to take place. Just to reach the Men’s Under-19 World Cup was a wonderful achievement for Papua New Guinea, however they have proven very much out of their depth, having been bowled out for under 100 in all three of their Group C games. They had the weakest net-run-rate of all 16 nations competing in the Group stage and West Indies, who were edged out by Sri Lanka in their winner-take-all match this past Friday will be looking to take out their frustrations on PNG. The Windies, with home advantage in their favour are a vastly superior team in all departments and any outcome other than a thumping win for them here would be a big surprise.
