THE PREDICTION

Scorching hot conditions await the players of South Africa and Ireland in this winner take all Group B fixture with the winners set to join India in the Super League phase of the competition. Whilst Ireland overcame Uganda in their opening match, India brought them back down to earth with a resounding 174 run victory last time out. South Africa put up a far stronger fight against India than Ireland, albeit an unsuccessful one, but their 121-run win over Uganda was an indication of their quality. A far closer contest is expected here, but ultimately it is the Proteas who boast a stronger all-round unit and should also be able to cope with the uncomfortably hot weather better than Ireland. With that in mind, back South Africa to win in Tarouba and seal their place in the next round.
