THE PREDICTION

West Indies are likely still reeling on the back of their defeat at the hands of United Arab Emirates in the Plate semi-finals and will be looking to finish their home tournament with a win against Zimbabwe, whose bowlers disappointed against Ireland last time with them ultimately losing by eight wickets. The West Indies batters are expected to bounce back following their collapse this past Friday and a much-improved showing should see them accrue a significant score should they be batting first here. When taking into account how comfortably Ireland managed to chase down the 166 that Zimbabwe accrued against them, the Windies will hope to capitalise on a potential lack of confidence among the opposition bowlers. Whilst West Indies have to be favoured in this one, don’t make any moves until closer to the start of play when considering the volatile weather forecast at present.
