THE PREDICTION
It would be a real shame if any inclement weather was to disrupt what could be a cracking Roses contest between Yorkshire and Lancashire. The reverse fixture saw the Red Rose come out on top at Emirates Old Trafford and with England swing bowler Jimmy Anderson among their ranks, the latest addition to the 1000 first class wickets club, Lancashire will be confident of doing the double. Yorkshire however, have lost just one of their nine first class games so far this season and look a fantastic red ball side with their young squad having stepped up and accommodated for any England absentees. However, at what is expected to be damp Emerald Headingley against a bowler like Anderson, Lancashire may prove a step too far for them and an away win may be on the cards.
