Corentin Moutet vs Jordan Thompson Prediction

Corentin Moutet comes to Indian Wells having played in the clay-court trio of tournaments in South America, but the Frenchman struggled for results over there. He won one match in Buenos Aires but was eliminated in the first round in both Rio and Santiago.

He now comes to the States on his lesser preferred surface and it is hard to make a case for him given how much he struggled on clay of late.

He faces Jordan Thompson who has been out of action since suffering a calf problem in the Aussie Open. He refused to withdraw but he was comfortably beaten in straight sets by Nuno Borges and has since been forced into a lay-off. 

He now returns after around seven weeks out and will be hoping his body holds up. Assuming it does, Thompson simply has to be favoured to get the win against the struggling Moutet.
