Connor Scutt vs Ben Robb Prediction

Connor Scutt returns to make his second appearance at Ally Pally as the 28-year-old played last year. He got through his first-round match against Krzysztof Kciuk winning 3-0 before losing by the same scoreline to Gerwyn Price in the second round.

That will give him some confidence ahead of this year’s tournament and he has had some good results this year to boost his morale yet further.

He meets New Zealander Ben Robb who returns for a fifth time and the 36-year-old will be hoping to finally get a win under his belt. On all four previous occasions, Robb has lost in the first round so he will be desperate to get a win here.

That is unlikely unfortunately. Scutt has been playing at a good level and assuming he settles into the game quickly enough, he should have too much quality. A 3-0 win is quite possible here, if not 3-1.
