Como Preview: Cesc’s Como

Cesc Fabregas officially became head coach of Como over the summer after not having completed his coaching badges last season with Oisin Roberts officially in charge. Como have been entertaining to watch this season but have struggled of late.

The home team come into this one on the back of a 2-2 draw with Venezia at Pier Luigi Penzo Stadium last weekend. They went 1-0 down in that game before going 2-1 up. That draw means they are now winless in their last eight matches in Serie A.

Roma Preview: Ranieri’s Romans

During the November international break, Claudio Ranieri came out of retirement to return to boyhood club Roma after the sackings of both club legend Daniele De Rossi and then Ivan Juric. They have been much-improved and already and got themselves a win last weekend.

They had improved performances against tough sides Napoli, Tottenham Hotspur and Atalanta without winning before the Giallorossi then hammered Lecce by four goals to one at Stadio Olimpico last weekend thanks to goals from Alexis Saelemaekers, Gianluca Mancini, Nicolo Pisilli, Manu Kone.

Como Team News: A few issues

Alieu Fadera has been a key man for Como in attack this weekend but he is now an injury doubt alongside both Marco Sala and Sergi Roberto. Former Liverpool defender Alberto Moreno is sidelined alongside former Manchester City man Maximo Perrone.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Pepe Reina; Van Der Brempt, Goldaniga, Kempf, Dossena; Engelhardt, Da Cunha; Strefezza, Nico Paz, Gabrielloni; Cutrone

Unavailable: Alberto Moreno (Injured), Maximo Perrone (Injured)

Questionable: Sala (Injured), Sergi Roberto (Injured), Fadera (Injured)

Roma Team News: Key doubts

Claudio Ranieri has simplified and made things more functional for Roma since his arrival, but here he must deal with the absence of defensive midfielder Bryan Cristante.

Predicted XI (3-4-1-2): Svilar; Mancini, Hummels, Ndicka; Pisilli, Paredes, Kone, Tasende; Dybala; Saelemaekers, Pellegrini

Unavailable: Cristante (Injured)

Questionable:

Como vs Roma Prediction

Como, despite being fairly poor, have been quite chaotic and entertaining to watch so far this season. In their 15 games so far this season, Como’s matches have consisted of 44 goals. They now face a Roma side that will be looking to shut things down, as is the preference of Ranieri. Given that Como will need to sure things up in order to challenge for survival, a lower scoring affair would appear the best bet for this one.

Como vs Roma Tip: Under 3.5 goals
