Clara Tauson vs Mirra Andreeva Prediction

It has been an unbelievable week for Calara Tauson as not only did she beat world number one Aryna Sabalenka, but she has followed that up with a string of good performances all week.

In the semis, she had a good battle with the experienced Karolina Muchova but she edged it 6-4 6-7 6-3 to earn herself a place in the final where she takes on 17-year-old prodigy Mirra Andreeva.

Andreeva becomes the youngest ever player to reach a WTA 1000 final and she continues to take everything in her stride. After stunning Iga Swiatek in the quarters in straight sets, she got past Elena Rybakina in three sets on Friday. She now sets her sights on Tauson.

The pair have never met before which only adds intrigue to this final. We like the look of Andreeva in this one. Both have played some outstanding tennis this week but Andreeva looks fearless and we think that may well play into her favour in this final. There is little between the two based on form, but we just edge the 17-year-old.
