Choi Seung-woo: Korean vet in need of win after one win in five

Choi Seung-woo (11-7) comes into this fight at UFC Fight Night 254 having lost four of his last five bouts and having been TKO’d in his last fight against Steve Garcia last July. The Korean fighter’s only win since June 2021 came in August 2023 when he picked up a unanimous decision win over Yarno Errens. They need to win in this fight to keep his UFC career alive and it will be interesting to see how he approaches this one with the pressure on.

Kevin Vallejos: Contender star making UFC debut

Kevin Vallejos (14-1) is a 23-year-old Argentinian fighter who has risen to prominence with his TKO win over Cam Teague on Dana White’s Contender Series in September. He has built up quite a CV in South America and he now gets his shot in the Octagon. He previously fought in the Contender Series back in September 2023 but he lost a unanimous decision to Jean Silva. Given how well Silva has done since then in the UFC, that puts his only career loss into some positive context.

Choi Seung-woo vs Kevin Vallejos Prediction

We have a really fascinating fight in the featherweight division on the main card at UFC Fight Night 254 a struggling veteran Choi Seung-woo need to win to keep his UFC career alive and he takes on rising Argentinian star Kevin Vallejos.

Vallejos has huge potential and it will be interesting to see if he can continue developing in the UFC.

Choi has managed just one win since 2021 and it is very hard to make a case for him in this fight albeit against a relatively inexperienced fighter.

Vallejos brings plenty of energy and power and we fully expect him to overwhelm the Korean fighter.

Prediction: Kevin Vallejos to win by KO/TKO
