CHELSEA PREVIEW: BLUES ON THE RISE

Enzo Maresca was appointed Chelsea boss in the summer with the off-field running of the club still quite bizarre and unusual but on-the-pitch he has managed to put something very impressive together – albeit something that is still in its early stages. They have been entertaining to watch with 36 goals scored in 16 games across all competitions.

In the UEFA Europa Conference League so far this season, Chelsea have started their campaign with back-to-back victories after defeating Swiss Super League side Servette in the playoffs. They defeated Genk by four goals to two at Stamford Bridge before then hammering Panathinaikos by four goals to one in Athens.

NOAH PREVIEW: NOAH’S ARK

Noah, a club named after Noah’s Ark which is said to have been built on the mountain of Ararat just outside of Yerevan the capital city of Armenia, have produced something quite remarkable to even qualify for the UEFA Europa Conference League league phase and they have started reasonably steadily.

In their opening game of the 2024/25 UEFA Europa Conference League league campaign, Noah defeated Czech side Mlada Boleslav with a 2-0 defeat at the beginning of last month. They did return to general expectations in their most recent outing a couple of weeks ago with a slender 1-0 defeat to Rapid Vienna in the Austrian capital.

CHELSEA TEAM NEWS: FULLY FIT

Cole Palmer was among a few stars left out of the Chelsea squad for the UEFA Europa Conference League as they have been keen to make a few changes in this competition.

They have no injury concerns or suspension issues but they have been able to select big money players such as Mykhaylo Mudryk, Joao Felix and Christopher Nkunku.

PREDICTED XI (3-4-3): Jorgensen; Disasi, Badiashile, Cucurella; Neto, Dewsbury-Hall, Fernandez, Veiga; Nkunku, Joao Felix, Mudryk

NOAH TEAM NEWS: COUPLE OF INJURIES

Noah are dealing with a couple of injury issues for this week’s trip to west London as both Gudmundur Thorarinsson and Martin Gambos both unavailable.

Thorarinsson was involved in their defeat to Rapid Vienna so that will mean at least one enforced change for the Armenians as they head to Stamford Bridge.

PREDICTED XI (4-2-3-1): Cancarevic; Mendoza, Silva, Muradyan, Miljkovic; Eteki, Sangare; Ferreira, Omar, Pinson; Aias

UNAVAILABLE: Thorarinsson (Injured), Gambos (Injured)

CHELSEA VS NOAH PREDICTION

As mentioned, Chelsea have been interesting to watch and the UEFA Europa Conference League has helped them keep up their attacking momentum. The Blues’ deep squad has slowed some big name, big money players to flourish against weaker opposition and that is once again expected to be the case. Whilst Noah may provide more stubbornness than expected, a comfortable home win is to be expected.
